Note:- (i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected.
Candidates shall apply only through online application available at the kerala Public
service commission website www.keralapsc.org
(ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those
notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.
(iii) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification.
Ranked list thus prepared and published as per this notification
shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies
earmarked for the above communities,but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates
during the currency of the Ranked list published for the post in the following district.

(iv) Applications shall be submitted to any one of the above District only in response to this
notification. Reservation community candidates should submit application for the post
to the concerned District officer where the vacancy is existing for their respective
communities and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in
online application. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction and if he/she
is selected his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action
will be taken against him/her.
(v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis,
subject to the special conditions laid down in GO(Ms) No.154/71/PD dated,
27.05.1971.A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the
Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district. Even if transfer is
allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in GO(MS) No.4/61/PD dated
2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one
district are prohibited from applying again for this post but they can apply to higher
posts when notified.
5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Muslim,SIUC N/AI and
Latin Catholic communities only)
6 Age : 18-42. Only candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1993 (both
dates included)are eligible to apply for this post, in the case of
Muslim,SIUC N/AI and Latin Catholic[Including the relaxation as per
para 2 (1) of general conditions.]

7 Qualifications:
(1) S S L C or its equivalent.
(2) A degree in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the universities in Kerala
OR
A Title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognized by the universities in Kerala.
OR
Oriental School leaving Certificate (Sanskrit) issued by the Government of Kerala
OR
A pass in the preliminary examination in Sanskrit conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala
OR
A pass in Pre-university or Pre-Degree Examination from Sanskrit colleges affiliated to the
universities in Kerala.
OR
A pass in Sanskrit Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for
Government Examination, Kerala
OR
A Pass in Pre-Degree Examination with Sanskrit (Sahitya) and Sanskrit (Sastra) as
Optional Subjects Conducted by the Arts or Science Colleges affiliated to the
Universities in Kerala.
8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT
(1)Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O(MS) No.9/78/
G.Edn.dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as teachers,if they possess the prescribed
qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of
Jawans Wives of Jawans must select “Are you entitled to any priority” as “Yes” on on-line application and give
the details in the following Space. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer
commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and
when required by the Commission [G.O.(MS) NO.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964,G.O.(MS) No.614/65/Edn.
Dated 09.11.65 and G.O.(MS) No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66]
(2) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers [G.O(MS)
No 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05 1975 and GO (MS) No 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970]
(3) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified
will be exempted from upper age limit[G.O.(MS) No.185/70/Edn dated 18.04.1970 and G.O(MS) No
466/70/Edn dated 11.11.1970].They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned.
Note:- The candidates who claim concessions by virtue of any of the above reason should state
“Are you eligible for age relaxation as “yes” on the on-line application and give details
in the space following.
9. Last date for receipt of applications : 28/09/2011 Wednesday upto 12.00 midnight
10 The applications with latest photo up-loaded shall be submitted by on-line only to commission
viz.http://www.keralapsc.org No application fee is required. The candidates applying through on line should keep
the print out (Receipt) of their applications and the bar code number shall be quoted in all further
enquiries/ correspondence. Documents to prove qualifications,age and community etc have to be produced
as and when called for. Applications which are submitted not in accordance with the instructions given in the
web-site will be summarily rejected.

12. If a written Test/OMR Test is conducted as part of the Selection,hall ticket of eligible Candidates will be
made available in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission,Candidates are instructed to down

13. At the time of Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test, Interview etc, candidates shall
produce their Photo affixed ID proof in Original and self attested photocopy of (Voters Identity
Card,Driving License,Passport,Identity Cards issued by Social Welfare Department to Physically
Handicapped Candidates,Photo affixed Pass Books issued by Nationalized Banks,PAN Card,Identity
Cards issued to Government Employees by the concerned Departments) along with Hall Tickets.
