QUALIFICATIONS: Essential : (i) ) Doctorate Degree in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Economics/ Political Science
from a recognized University. (ii) Ten years’ teaching or research experience in a responsible capacity on the
problem of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes, preferably of West Bengal and neighbouring states. (iii)
Administrative experience. (iv) Ability for guiding research.
Desirable: (i) Evidence of having published books, papers etc. on tribal life and culture; (ii) Adequate knowledge
about problems and planning concerning Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes population.
AGE : Not more than 45 years on 01.01.2011, relaxable for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates.
